On Deck at Ningaloo - at Das Kapital
Running time: 39sec
On Deck at Ningaloo was exhibited as part of Das Kapital, a three day exhibition held over November 30 - December 2, 2023.
The exhibition took place inside in an old bank at 236 Chapel Street, Prahran, Victoria, Australia, and was a "presentation of film, video art, and new media within a physical space characterised by decay and transition ... The show's title took some of its inspiration from Joseph Beuys' Das Kapital (1970 - 1977)" <https://www.dw.com/en/joseph-beuys-das-kapital-1970-1977/video-49140742>
There were 31 artists in the exhibition, with one video each. The videos were between 20 seconds and about 10 minutes long, showing one after the other. A full loop took approximately 3 1/2 hours.
In the final setup, the videos were projected onto a single cinematic-scale screen in the middle of the space.

The raw footage of On Deck at Ningaloo was taken with an action cam while on a tourist boat out near Ningaloo Reef, Western Australia. The video can be seen as part of a series of works coming out of a six month road trip from Darwin, down the West Coast of WA, and across to Melbourne, in 2019.
